REQUEST: Winter Clothing
#REQUEST: Washington, DC
Hello. I'm a currently disabled Indigenous Native on the east coast. I was formerly doing activism, mostly as a volunteer street medic. Now I can't do that because of pain in my back and legs due to nerve damage and degenerative disc disease. Over the past two years my condition has gotten worse and I've been trying to get on disability with not much success. I have no income. I've moved in with my partner so I have somewhat stable housing now. My partner helps me out enough with a place to live and necessities, and they have limited means too. I wear a size Large. I've been gaining weight due to my new medication though, so it might be an XL. Connect
With winter looming around the corner, I've been wanting to to get some new winter clothing and a few other necessities. My current winter clothing have holes and are worn out, and at my previous home someone walked off with some of my good winter clothing. I would like to humbly ask the group here if there is any way they can help me. It would be greatly appreciated.
Now that I'm in a stable environment and my stuff won't get stolen, I'm hoping to get some Military Arctic Mittens and a Rothco MA-1 Flight Jacket. I'm also hoping to get a new collapsible cane, since I damaged mine when I fell. I also wouldn't mind having a ALPS Outdoor Z Tri-Leg stool to make it easier for me to get around and have a light item to carry and sit on when I need it.
All of these items can be found on Amazon. An Amazon giftcard would be appreciated. I would gladly take photos of the items after I receive them and show receipts. I know it's specific items, but I feel that the military-grade items last a lot longer. Thank you for any help you can provide.
